‘Cholota’s bail application is urgent, should be treated as such’ – Legal expert

JOHANNESBURG – Legal expert Zola Majavu says that Moroadi Cholota’s bail application is urgent.
Therefore, it should be treated as such.
Cholota appeared in court on Monday and her bail application has been postponed to Tuesday.
This is to allow the State more time to present its case for rejecting bail.

Cholota, who is former Free State Premier Ace Magashule’s former PA was extradited from the US on Thursday.
She faces charges of fraud and corruption related to a R255 million asbestos tender.
Majavu says that to prevent the State from suffering any bias, its reasons for opposing bail should be sufficient.
